Obituary

Linda Maxine Allen, 83, of Black Mountain, NC, went to be with the Lord on Friday, April 4, 2025, at CarePartners Hospice Solace Center. She was born on March 16, 1942, in Elizabethtown, IL.

Maxine is survived by her children, Paula Bedwell (Steve) and Ricky Allen; six grandchildren, Eric Reynolds (Fran), Mandy Foxx, Michael A. Allen, Cassie Reynolds, Angel Allen, and Troy A. Allen (April); seven great grandchildren, Katie McMinn, Joshua Reynolds, Bryson Foxx, Lilly Barrett, Michael Allen, Silas and Ari Allen; sister, Shirley Rose of Cave in Rock, IL; many nieces and nephews; and her fur baby, Molly.

The family will receive friends Saturday, April 12, 2025, from 1:00 to 2:00pm at Harwood Home for Funerals. A celebration of life service will immediately follow at the funeral home with Rev. Randy Gregg and Rev. David Hall officiating and the Lowe Family providing music. A private family burial will be in Mountain View Memorial Park in Black Mountain.
